Quilters’ Retreat – Spring 2022
Join us for the Spring Quilters’ Retreat! This will be a great event for all quilters out there. Bring your unfinished projects to the retreat, enjoy fellowship, inspirational talks and worship together.
Laura and her husband, Jeff, live in Caro, MI. She is the mother of three adopted children and two stepchildren, grandmother of ten grandchildren (+ one due in April 😊), and great-grandmother of one great-grandson. In 2016, Laura retired from the State of MI Department of Health and Human Services after a rewarding 22-year career. She is passionate about studying and teaching the Bible and sharing how God has been her Rock through many traumatic life experiences. Laura enjoys quilting, reading, decorating, playing piano, and cooking.

3 Make and Take Classes
EPP Needle Keeper
Have you wanted to try English Paper Piecing? In this mini class we will make a needle book with an EPP Grandmother’s Flower Garden Block.
EPP kit – $5.00 (pay teacher at class)
All supplies are provided in the kit. You just need to bring your fabric scissors.
This 1 1/2″ plastic ring is covered and stitched in no time, making it ready for the perfect embellishment to many projects. Let me show you how, using only three basic embroidery stitches and a kit fee of $5.00, which includes everything you need to make one button. Just bring your scissors.
Sweethear Table Topper
This sweet little Sweetheart Table Topper by Jaybird Quilts is simple and will be refreshing to see on your table! It will be a quick cut and sew, with completion in just a couple of hours! A Hex N More Ruler ($25.95 – Beckie will have available) by Jaybird Quilts is recommended but not mandatory. The pattern is free, and kits will also be available!
Blueberry Hill Class
This class will have a short time of introduction and information on Friday, April 8 at 4:00 PM. Classes will be held on Saturday, starting at 9:00 AM. Please plan to arrive at the camp in time for this session. Thank you!
Special information before you come...
Due to current health and safety guidelines space may be limited. Rooms will have 2-3 guests in each (request roommates you are comfortable with).
CDC and State guidelines will be followed, so please bring a mask, as they are required in certain areas, such as the dining hall.
Also, for the safety and health of our committee and guests, we will ONLY be doing UFO’s (Un- Finished Objects).
For this year only, guests are being asked to bring their own cutting mats, rulers, travel irons (please no full-size irons), and other supplies needed to complete a project. A small ironing table (TV tray size) will also be allowed this year. There will be no communal use of supplies, irons, boards, etc. for guests to use.
There will be a LIVE auction and there will be some very nice items up for bid! (there will not be a donation table, shared snack table, or silent auction)
