Developing Women Leaders in the Home, Workplace, and Ministry
SEPT. 15 – 17
We are a four member team working to make this the best most refreshing spiritual retreat of your year. Kerry Bailey, long time face at Bay Shore, working as camp Dean for many years and now serving on the Bay Shore Board of Directors. April Schmidt, also no stranger to Bay Shore, working with other committees, teaching and a retreat speaker. Lora Aldridge, is another familiar face to Bay Shore growing up there and working with summer camps. Nancy Grybauskas is excited to be a part of this new ministry as her first Bay Shore encounter.
Our team is excited to bring to you some interesting, uplifting, challenging and life-changing teaching through our keynote speaker and workshop leaders.
Kerry Bailey, April Schmidt, Lora Aldrich and new to Bay Shore Nancy Grybauskas would like to invite you to attend the first Bay Shore Women of Excellence Conference on September 15, 16, & 17!
Lora Aldrich, husband Scott, and their four children live in Bay Port, MI. She has a lifetime of memories at Bay Shore Camp. Lora is looking forward to leading you into the presence of the Father through music and worship, a talent she has used for His glory since childhood.
Barb “Bo” Bowles comes to us from Tulsa Oklahoma; she grew up in Caro Michigan and was called to youth ministry in Tulsa in 1986. After 9 years of full time ministry she returned to her career in management of a software development group, Bo longs to share her passion for the truth of God’s word, Jewish history and politics and desires to show the completeness in both Old and New Testaments.
Bo has taught at Bay Shore Family camp, was the bible study leader for summer camps, conference workshops, retreats, weekly bible studies and Sunday schools in both Oklahoma and Michigan.
“I believe in the essentials of the faith – Jesus the Christ, son of God, crucified, buried, and risen. I believe in the inerrancy of scripture, the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer and in the promise of Christ’s return. I believe that the goal of the Christian life is to be fully discipled so that our words, actions, and life story glorify the Lord and bring a living gospel or “good news” to the world around us – both globally and locally. In short, I love the Lord and live to get the Word out! – Bo”
Tammie Kosters continues to travel with her husband, Elroy, as Living Truth 2, while teaching music at Caro Community Schools. Through both endeavors, The Lord continues to teach her the value of mentorship and the lasting impact it can have. Tammie has had personal experience in mentoring women into a closer relationship with the Lord.
Mentoring; The “sometimes” forgotten calling of Christ followers
Session One Leading By Example:
Using Biblical examples, we will examine the nature of servant leadership and the affect that has on the next leaders.
Session Two Passing the Mantle:
One on one mentorship develops close personal relationships where a point of real accountability and preparation for the next step can happen.
Session Three Leaving a Legacy:
What will those with whom you had a mentoring relationship continue to be, say, and do even after you are no longer their mentor.
Rev. June Blanshan is passionate about empowering leaders for life. She believes that in order to do that we must model, equip, and multiply, raising up leaders who realize their God-potential. Having personally experienced the power of God’s Word when His truths are realized, she loves to help others do the same and embrace their individuality and gifts wholeheartedly.
Cleansed, Empowered, and Leading Victoriously
Session I: Stepping into the Shower
God desires that we know Him and, know who we are in Him. This session will take us on a journey into the shower of His presence. Here we will experience His truths, love, and forgiveness enabling us to exit knowing we are clean, and ready to receive His love.
Session II: Walking in the Son
Imperfect progress is progress. The second session encourages us to sit at the feet of Jesus as we learn how to hear His voice. We will learn how to deepen our relationship and intimacy with God and how it transforms into our everyday lives and decisions.
Session III: Embracing and Casting Joy
God in us and through us, joy. The third and final session brings participants full circle in their journey of discipleship as they learn that they are indeed, God’s gift to the Body. The women will be encouraged to embrace who God has created them to be and to live life fully committed to being that Gift to others!
