Get "Rooted" at
Bay Shore Camp
this summer |
When I was in High School, platform shoes were all the rage. I just had to
get some. So, I purchased a pair with my own money. It was only after
wearing them that I discovered they were the most uncomfortable things and
the slightest slope tended to dump me off them. It was amazing the lengths
I was willing to go to be "like the others and have a sense of belonging."
This story illustrates how we all "long to belong." Our theme verse for
this year found in Eph 3:17 is a reminder that as Christians, not only do we
have an earthly family, but a heavenly one as well. You are invited to come
spend some time this summer getting connected and with your heavenly family.
Like all families, we will have lots of fun together as we play and enjoy
each others company. Beyond that we will have some serious time together as
well as hear from our Heavenly Father, to gain His wisdom, instruction, and
to realize how much He loves us, His children. So come "get rooted" so that
you can join with all of God's children in finding out how wide and long,
deep and high, is this love that binds us together. See YOU this summer!!
